Our Story

It doesn’t matter who you are, if you are breathing you are designed to love and be loved. It is how we are made. However with our fast paced world and unapologetic lifestyles, when relationships end, where do broken hearts go?

Chantal painfully suffered through a broken heart many times, but it was not until she had a baby with someone and he walked out that she knew it was time to figure out what was going on... fast. Heartbroken and emotionally distraught, Chantal turned to the internet to find comfort, advice and a supportive community of women she could connect with to help her get through this difficult time. To her surprise, the online community that she was dreaming of was nowhere to be found.

There was very little out there dedicated to the millions of women a year who suffer from divorce, breakup and heartbreak. And so the idea of HealingPod was born--a virtual sanctuary, social networking site and information portal with a beautiful story book vibe that was made for women, by women. "When I was going through what I felt to be a devastating and humiliating period, I so desperately wanted a community. I was alone and had little income for therapy and my friends, though tried, could not be there for me because first they didn’t know how as they were not trained professionals and I would just long for their freedom and happiness as I spent lonely night with my little baby.

In the past women would gather together in times of need in order to heal, it is the way we heal, however with the way the world is today we can feel so alienated from our sisters. My wish is that this resource will help woman heal their hearts, regain their confidence and power, and help alleviate the pain of break up by creating a proverbial gathering around the fire pit to create healing spaces."

Chantal began her career in the entertainment industry working at Nettwerk Music Group, one of Canada's largest independent labels, as their Creative Director/A&R since 2004. It was her drive and determination combined with her natural, open and warm presence that helped her become a recognized and regarded asset within her company and soon she was traveling the world doing talks, seeking talent, and connecting with some of the most notable people within the music industry.
